Remember you were trying to get permission from Hard N Heavy to use some old footage? Did you ever manage to reach anyone who could give you a definitive answer?

I eventually spoke to Amy Ashworth @ EMI Publishing.
I discovered that, for broadcasting on Spark, I
didn't need permission because we're a BBCi
channel (I just needed to credit the source).
If the Vain film ends up in the commercial domain,
though, then there would be some sort of minor
charge to pay, I guess.
The production/publishing companies who put together
those Hard N'Heavy vids are all now defunct.
Amy's address is:

Hey DD. Ive just joined forces Electra Kill as there drummer for there U.K tour in December.( Thanks to Our Spicey, Bubblegumdisaster..) As we speak we are constructing the Sequences that i am to trigger off my Roland TD20/Acoustic Hybrid Kit, all this is being done online. I'm hopefully gonna be flying out to Paris over the next coupla weeks to start rehearsals for the U.K leg of the tour, and hope if they like my playing (& me) that i will get the U.S leg too ! My question is, i have been filming all online actions and endevour to film the entire process ( for my own work archives..) & i know that you guys contribute to the BBCi and wondered if you guys might be interested in filming/documenting/editing this mad project? I would suppose this would interest many local Hullenzienne muso's etc.. I'm gonna talk to Alan Rawe (BBC - Raw Talent..) whom i know Quite well & ask him about his thoughts on the subject
The Writer/Keys/guitarist lives in France, the bassist and singer reside in the U.S and me from the U.K. ( this helpes when it comes to tour in different countries ..) Video for there first single is completed and is ready to be put on variouse music T.V.

I would say... First, good luck with it.
Secondly, I guess we'll talk about - editing
it, at least - when you've finished the tour and
finished filming. Personally, I'm not taking on
any new projects until after Xmas.
Alan may be up for it, though. Him and his cohorts
do more music-related filming for the Beeb nowa-
days - maybe it's because Alan setup his own production
company, I can't remember now.
